Money to Fall from the Sky

No it’s not a joke and it’s definitely not a dream. Not for Indonesians that is. At Jakarta Indonesia, one man announces to make money fall from the sky happen. “How will money be falling from the sky?” you may ask. Well how else to do that than by dropping money from an airplane! Isn’t that a good idea? Well, perhaps it’s a great idea of you have a lot of cash. But it’s totally an awesome idea if you’re down below waiting for it to happen as you set up your huge net not to catch fish but cash. The question that’s probably bothering your mind is why would anyone do that? Or perhaps, who would even think about doing that? Well, one Indonesian businessman thought of doing that.

According to news, the Indonesian businessman planned to shower Indonesians with money from heaven as a publicity stunt. The Indonesian businessman is releasing his book and wants something unique to promote this latest book. Who is this man? It is author and motivational speaker, Tung Desem Waringin. According to Tung, he said that he wanted to create something like a rain of money in the City of Jakarta. What made him think about it is that he wants a huge advertising tactic for his book that will make the people happy. Well, we’re all smiles just reading this now! He surely achieved his purpose even by hearing the news. I mean, who wouldn’t want extra cash just by waiting it to fall from the sky? It’s like money coming from heaven.

Tung Desem Waringin said that he plans to throw about a hundred million Rupiah or $10,600 in US dollars, equivalent to 6,700 Euros. According to news last May 30th, he is planning to throw out this huge amount of cash the coming Sunday or June 1st. The problem is authorities are planning to stop it. Whether it went through or not, I’m not sure. According to Col. I Ketut Untung, the publicity stunt will draw a large number of people and may create chaos in the capital. Imagine, millions of Indonesians are living on no more than $US 1 a day. That’s why any food or aid will surely draw millions of people.
